ACRIS - Your partner

for fine chemicals and

separation media

Our core competence consists of knowing our “circle of competence“ well. A circle as small as a mere droplet in the vast ocean of what we don’t know. We support you with what we know – to advance your projects and meet your needs  – and with what we don’t know – by clearly stating if we can’t be of any help.

As a medium-sized enterprise ACRIS is much more influenced by human beings than by rigid processes. Human beings being human, and as such very individual and in all our uniqueness absolutely normal. Personal contacts are in the center of our daily work, from individual to individual. Our modus vivendi.

If working together shall succeed in the long run, it never works without it: reliability as the central expression of our respect for one another. We at ACRIS recognize our own claims with reference to dependability, and seek to take the same measure when it comes to you and your needs.

Über uns

ACRIS Feinchemikalien GmbH was founded in Heidelberg in 1977. Since then, we have been active supporting our customers with separation technologies and specialty materials. Our decisions and (re)actions have obviously been sufficiently good to maintain our role in these complex and volatile markets. Until today! But viability in the past carries no guarantee for the future. ACRIS remains alert and vigilant. We are challenging ourselves in search of improving what we do and who we are. ACRIS is on the move, we remain an undertaking, an enterprise. On the move, to you, with you!

Our staff have plentiful experience in life and work, in diverse environments. It makes us understand both small companies as well as globally active multinationals. We are familiar with their processes, requirements, and targets. Familiar with what they do, and what they need, and what they want. A significant number of our customers are long-term partners – described by decades, not years – and the same applies to the supplier side. Solidity and stability, referring also to your human contact points within ACRIS, are appreciated by many of you!

On the content level of our work, we are led by Albert Einstein’s motto that “everything should be made as simple as possible, but no simpler“. On the relationship level of our work, surely taking Einstein with us, we get our orientation from the Golden Rule, intrigued by its reciprocal simplicity, by its being so very old and so very modern, handed down globally and applied locally: “Treat others as you would like others to treat you.“ Just in case some of you wish to be treated differently: “These are our principles. If you don’t like them, we have others.“ (Groucho Marx)

We enjoy business relationships with companies on all continents. This makes us a knot within an extended and powerful network. A network giving us options that cannot be forced into a product list of chemical compounds and according CAS numbers. In addition to this, ACRIS builds partnerships with suppliers who provide a significant innovation potential, who seek to work with us, and who represent a good fit for our values and competencies.

Ion Exchange Resins und Functionalized Silica Gels

From the very beginning in 1977, we have been cooperating closely with Rohm and Haas, as well as their respective successors after 2009. This has made ion exchange resins in all their applications (Rohm and Haas' Imagine the Possibilities) a central part of our activities, until today. Functionalized silica gels, so to speak the inorganic siblings of classic ion exchange resins, are our current focus, in close collaboration with our Canadian partner SiliCycle.
